Think Spring! It’s Time For Portraits Of The Kids Outside…

posted in: Photography | 0

I don’t know about you, but this past week has been amazing! My kids and I have been outside every chance we got. Morning bike rides where we could still see our breath… quiet time reading on the deck in the warmth of the afternoon sun… impromptu portraits of the kids outside… I hope you’ve had as much fun as we have!

Which brings my to my next point of business. We need to think spring. Not just because my phone said it is going to snow tomorrow (seriously? I love snow, but I think most of us would like a little continuity, right?).

So, with that in mind, here are some photos from last year that we kept under wraps until now. These two have grown so much since we did these photos, but they are still super adorable.

So sweet. It’s always a fun challenge (hmm, that word doesn’t seem quite right!) for me to help my littlest clients sit for their portraits. I’ve photographed both these kids before, but it’s always fun to see them grow and go through different stages of maturity. Agh! I love it.

Now, behind every adorable spring portrait like this one, there’s a silly outtake. Or, in this case, a planned silly experience for the kids. I had the kids do a variety of things — cartwheels, jumping, etc… but this one of them was the winner for mom and dad. I know it will look great on their family portrait wall, or wherever it ends up hanging!

These two are so adorable. Love this silly portrait — it really captures the brother-sister relationship!

Ahhh… a breath of fresh air. I can almost smell the green grass. But we’re not quite there yet. I hope you’re looking forward to spring’s full arrival, and if you’re needing any spring portraits, please get in touch! If you have a specific location in mind for your session, know that we photograph portraits on location in Dexter, Ann Arbor, and the surrounding area. Have camera, will travel! Or, if you’re partial to coming to our studio, we’d love to have you here too! That’s where these cute spring portraits were created.

You know it would be so great to have portraits of the kids outside… photos that you didn’t have to take yourself. Let us make this a fun experience for you and your kids, okay?

In the meantime, if you need ideas for things to do outdoors with your kids, check out this pinterest board we’ve created — it has a ton of fun nature + outdoor activities for kids!
