Senior Portraits

You’ve waited your whole life for this, your senior year. A new journey lies ahead of you, and there are so many choices to be made. At Betsy’s Photography, we want to make your senior pictures easy (and fun!) — whether you want a more traditional studio or casual location setting, we are happy to create the senior portraits you’ve been waiting for. Because you deserve something different. You deserve the best. Let us create senior portraits you will love.

During your consultation, we will discuss things like whether you want a studio senior portrait, or location senior portrait, as well as if you have any special things you’d to include in your senior pictures (your car, an instrument, etc), and what type of feel you want your portraits to possess (e.g. grunge, casual, traditional). You are unique — we want your senior pictures to reflect your personality; these images are about self-expression, who you are in this moment. Use your creativity!

While the studio is frequently the starting point for many of our senior portrait clients, we love to go on location throughout the Dexter Ann Arbor area (and beyond). Our past seniors have selected a diverse range of locations for their location senior session:

• Ann Arbor – Ann Arbor is a great spot to get a variety of looks, from urban, gritty senior portraits in the downtown area or green, nature-friendly portraits in one of Ann Arbor’s many parks.
• Dexter – For clients who like the urban feel Ann Arbor offers, but want something a little more “small-scale,” Dexter offers a great blend of urban architecture and green parks.
• Your Home – We’ve created senior pictures in homes overlooking the Huron River, houses in green grassy subdivisions, and homes with stables. Let us add a personal touch to your portrait session by incorporating your home or backyard into your senior portraits.

While our basic senior portrait session includes one outfit, most of our seniors wind up choosing a session that includes at least three outfits. We generally recommend you cover all the bases — but ultimately, it’s your call:

• Formal/Traditional – This could be the outfit that your mom will want you to wear, or it could be a tux or prom dress.
• Casual/Relaxed – Solid color T-shirts, paired with shorts or jeans, work very well for a casual look.
• Trendy/Fun – You can pull out all the stops for this outfit — go with something funky and alternative, or plan on wearing your letter jacket and sports jersey. This one is all about capturing your uniqueness and individuality; if you have a collection of hats, shoes, or purses — we could incorporate that into the portrait too.

Investments begin at $435 for your senior portrait experience, which includes the basic session fee and a print credit.
