Guest reviewers (such as myself) were allowed into the “exhibition” for the five hours leading up to WCC’s Visual Arts Gala. The Gala was open to the public between 4:30pm and 7pm today (Wed, 4/28). Their performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata was well-liked by the audience attending the performances at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This weekend has been busy for us — we spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday photographing the Chelsea Invitation Hockey Tournament. The Chelsea Invitation was held at the Artic Coliseum in Chelsea, Michigan. The four-team round-robin tournament was filled with excitement and many hard-working players. Four teams participated: the Michigan Stars, Ann Arbor Wolves, Sylvania Maple… Ann Arbor’s Arbor Opera Theater will perform La Traviata at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre. There will be four performances during June, so check your calendars: June 14-17, 2007. The production company is composed of professional singers from Southeast Michigan.
